You can make a gift to benefit our park either directly to the National Park Service or to our primary non profit, tax exempt support organizations, Eastern National or Friends of Gulf Islands, Inc. If you make the gift directly to the park, the entire gift can be used for the purpose you identify such as Junior Ranger programs or sea turtle preservation or for general park donation account. No administrative cost is deducted from your gift directly to the National Park Service. Your check will be deposited in a government account and the full amount will be spent as you intended. Most parks have separate donation accounts for park-specific project and programs for which you can earmark your gift. Government accounts are non-interest bearing and cannon generate interest between the time it is deposited and the time it is spent. Checks should be made out to the National Park Service and sent to the Superintendent, Gulf Islands National Seashore, 1801 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze, FL 32563.
You can make an online gifts through our primary park partner, Eastern National, on the website. Donations can be directed to the general needs of the park, or to a specific park program or project.
For security and other reasons, you cannot make on line contributions directly to the park or the National Park Service. But Eastern National works directly with the National Park Service in helping to fund our park needs.
Visitors may drop money in the Eastern National donation boxes located at Davis Bayou, Fort Pickens, Fort Barrancas, and Naval Live Oak Visitor Centers. These funds are used to enhance visitor services or special events such as Candlelight Tours of Fort Pickens or Fort Barrancas.
The advantage of making your gift check out to the Friends of Gulf Islands, is that the amount will be deposited in an interest bearing account to assist park-prioritized requested projects or programs.
Your interest in park philanthropy is deeply appreciated. The tradition of philanthropy in support of the National Parks began in the last century and continues today. Philanthropy has been a part of our park since it was established 1971 and continues to make a critical difference in protecting our park resources and serving our visitors for present and future generations. Thanks again.
