The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park Battlefield Visitors Center is the first place you should begin your tour. Talk to a Park Ranger or a Volunteer and they will give you a map of the park. At this Visitors Center you will learn about the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution and the events that led to the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Artifacts from this battle and the American Revolution illustrate the past in our museum exhibits.

The Visitor Center building is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday. It is closed New Years Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.

Opportunities

  • Explore the museum exhibits to learn about the Southern Campaign, the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, and see artifacts from the battlefield.
  • Are you looking for an ancestor or battlefield? We have a participants list of Patriot, British, and Hessian soldiers. Bring the name of your ancestor or soldier written down to help us pull them from the catalog.
  • Ask for a Junior Ranger book to help you learn about the battle, and then receive your badge! Perfect for ages 6-12.
  • Ask for a Not So Junior Ranger book if you are young at heart and want your own badge. This book is for the NPS enthusiast who wants to deep dive into our museum and battlefield to learn about the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Perfect for young adults, teens, and adults!
  • Stamp your passport at the Front Desk! We have one park cancellation stamp, one Junior Ranger stamp, and a Boy Scouts stamp.
  • The Park Film "Another Such Victory" is available on our website under multimedia presentations
  • A public bathroom with a baby changing station is available.

You will see the large brown sign saying “Guilford Courthouse National Military Park” on the corner.
