David Baron is a journalist, author, and broadcaster who has spent his thirty-year career largely in public radio. He has worked as an environment correspondent for NPR, a science reporter for Boston's WBUR, and health and science editor for PRI’s The World. He is an avid umbraphile and August 2017 will be his 6th total solar eclipse. His recent book “American Eclipse” tells the story of Wyoming’s previous great eclipse in 1878. He will be speaking about his book and available following the program for questions and book signing. After the program several large telescopes will be set up until midnight along the shore of Colter Bay for participants to view stars, galaxies, nebulae and other celestial objects.
