Events for the May 10, 2019 ceremony are still in the planning stages and updates to the program will be posted here. We are expecting to have a commemorative ceremony, a historical reenactment, entertainment, locomotive demonstrations, and food vendors.
Our two replica steam locomotives located at Golden Spike National Historic Site will be running that day (as they do each day in the summer season, approximately May 1 - October 10). Due to the anticipated high visitation and limited parking at the site visitors should plan on alternative transportation (remote parking and shuttle service) to the site for May 10, 2019. Golden Spike National Historic Site does not permit camping at the site and the nearest lodging/camping can be found in Brigham City, Tremonton, Ogden, and Logan.
