The National Park Service received word from the State Water Resource Board that the water samples taken over the weekend in the Marin Headlands continue to show signs of e.coli being present in two of the four locations tested.

The source of the contamination is being investigated, and the system is being cleaned, treated and retested over the next couple of days. In order for the Boil Water Order to be lifted the water tests need to be clear of contamination for two consecutive days.

Wash stations or hand sanitiser is being place in restrooms.

Your safety and health are very important to us, please plan ahead for all of your water consumption needs. We are working hard to get this corrected as quickly as possible, but the Boil Water Order cannot be lifted beforeThursdayat the EARLIEST, andmay remain in effect for a few more days more

Thank you for your patience.
