Lands End Lookout
The new visitor facility at Lands End is located adjacent to Pt. Lobos Avenue above the Sutro Baths. It contains informational displays describing the area's rich cultural and natural history and allows locals and visitors to enjoy an indoor space that will complement the dramatic coastal environment.
On July 21, 2010 the National Park Service and Parks Conservancy hosted a community meeting to gather input for the design of the Lookout facility. Participants discussed three questions within small groups. They were:
- What does Lands End mean to you?
- How do you use Lands End?
- What functions do you see at the Lands End Lookout?
To review a brief summary of the participants' responses, see the documents section below.
The next meeting to learn more about the Lookout facility and to review and comment on the draft design schematics was:
Tuesday, September 28, 2010
6:00 p.m. -7:30 p.m. at the Cliff House in San Francisco
RSVP was required.
