Turn right at the first road immediately after the Bullfrog Visitor Center parking lot and travel ½ mile to reach the entrance to the RV park on the west side of the road. The campground loop is gravel with slight inclines although vehicles with 4-wheel drive or high clearance are generally not required. There are 22 full hook-up sites (water, sewer, 30 AMP) that can accommodate RV’s up to 50 foot long. The dry camping area consists of 3 separate loops (A-C) that have 80 concrete padded sites that can accommodate tent, trailers and RV’s. Each loop road is asphalt so 4-wheel drive or high clearance vehicle are not required. There are slight inclines in the road, but the Individual sites are mostly level with a paved driveway and gravel tent pad (may be challenging for wheelchairs). Each site has a charcoal grill and picnic table but because the sites are gravel and, possibly on an incline, maneuvering a wheelchair may be difficult. In the center of the campground (approximate 5 minute walk from furthest site) are accessible restrooms with flush toilets, sinks and showers. The parking area is difficult to navigate because of the proximity of the canyon walls, and security measures in place for Glen Canyon Dam. It is a mid century modern style building with beige gravel concrete walls. There are barriers between the parking lot and building that are easy to walk or maneuver a wheelchair through. A low memorial fountain is in front of the building. A large circular section of the building juts over the cliff above Glen Canyon Dam. The entrance faces the front parking lot. Upon entering, the restrooms are on the left. Certain areas are closed to the public due to security reasons. Interactive exhibits and picture windows are in the rotunda. There are no stairs in the public areas of the visitor center. Wheelchairs are available by request. When you walk straight into the rotunda, you will encounter the information and tour desks. Tours of Glen Canyon are on a seasonal schedule. There are two elevator rides, but no stairs along the tour route. Movies in the auditorium are open captioned. Audio description of the movies is available by request. The back deck of the building is accessible through the back door, or by walking around the building from the parking lot. It is a modern building with beige stucco walls situated in front of sandstone formations. There is a large parking lot suitable for all types of vehicles including RV’s, buses and trailers which is accessible 24 hours a day. The farthest spot in the parking lot is approximately 100 yards to the front door of the VC. It is a paved surface with a slight incline making it relatively easy to walk or maneuver a wheelchair to the entrance. There is a covered area leading to the front doors with information panels and benches to the left of the doors. To the right, there are bathrooms with flush toilets, a water fountain and pay telephones. There are no stairs. When you pass through two sets of double doors, you will see the front information desk straight ahead where you can find maps, brochures and talk with a ranger. To the left of the front desk is the main exhibit area. It is laid out in a circular pattern with interpretive panels lining the outside wall with an inner theater-type surrounding that has three chairs and a bench to view movies about Glen Canyon. In the back of the exhibit area there is a life-size model of a slot canyon. Outside the Visitor Center, visitors looking to the south can see views of the Bullfrog Marina, Lake Powell and Navajo Mountain.","emailAddress":"4C89D8BAA2DAA1BA9BA91EAEED1EA4A36693569C12B18389","telephoneDescription":"There is no phone in the Bullfrog Visitor Center.","visitorCenterImage":"/common/uploads/structured_data/24786C52-B60B-6119-11E25B842E116028_thumb.jpg","telephoneNumberFax":"","mailing_address":{"line_3":"","city":"Lake Powell","postal_code":"84533 ","line_2":"Hwy 276-North Bullfrog","line_1":"National Park Service","state_code":"UT"},"name":"Bullfrog Visitor Center","visitorCenterID":2316,"telephoneNumberTty":"","operatingHours":{"1":{"exceptions":[{"holiday_start":0,"description":"If the flag is up, the Bullfrog Visitor Center is open.","operatingScheduleExceptionID":29384,"date_start":"June 1","schedule":[{"dayOfWeek":1,"time_close":"","time_open":"","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":2.0,"time_close":"","time_open":"","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":3.0,"time_close":"","time_open":"","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":4.0,"time_close":"","time_open":"","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":5.0,"time_close":"","time_open":"","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":6.0,"time_close":"4:00 PM","time_open":"9:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":0},{"dayOfWeek":7.0,"time_close":"4:00 PM","time_open":"9:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":0}],"holiday_end":"Labor Day","date_end":"","name":"Open some days in the summer season"}],"hours":[{"dayOfWeek":1,"time_close":"12:00 AM","time_open":"12:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":2.0,"time_close":"12:00 AM","time_open":"12:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":3.0,"time_close":"12:00 AM","time_open":"12:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":4.0,"time_close":"12:00 AM","time_open":"12:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":5.0,"time_close":"12:00 AM","time_open":"12:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":6.0,"time_close":"12:00 AM","time_open":"12:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1},{"dayOfWeek":7.0,"time_close":"12:00 AM","time_open":"12:00 AM","sunrise_open":0,"sunset_close":0,"is_closed":1}],"description":"Bullfrog Visitor Center is open seasonally.","label":"Hours","operatingScheduleID":2701,"type":"Visitor Center","name":"Bullfrog Visitor Center"}},"description":"Open seasonally.
