The closure of one lane of the Glen Canyon Bridge for waste water pipeline maintenance will occur on weeknights between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Arizona Mountain Standard Time. The project will be completed by Loven Contracting out of Flagstaff, Arizona starting the evening of Monday April 20 through the morning of Saturday May 2, 2015. These new nighttime hours will allow the passage of vehicles larger than 12 feet in width during the day when houseboats and other wide-load traffic are more common. While the overnight one-lane closure is in effect, pilot cars and flag personnel will escort vehicles less than 12 feet in width safely across the bridge. The pump-out at the Wahweap main ramp and the Wahweap fish cleaning station will also be closed to reduce the amount of waste transferred through the pipeline during the two week repair.
