Jia Wei, RCID GIS Administrator, will do a presentation in Reedy Creek Improvement District about the GIS applications in planning and environmental fields, such as combining GPS and GIS to manage aquatic ecosystem, bathymetric mapping of all the lakes in the District, erosion control and mosquito surveillance/monitoring GIS applications. The site we will show is Village Lake next to Downtown Disney, a commercial district in the Reedy Creek Improvement District. We will have a boat tour through the lake and canals, showing the area land development and the environment protection projects.
