2021 Events:

Fall Watershed Clean-Up

This event is co-hosted by our partners at The Nature Conservancy.

Join park rangers and our partners at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) on Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12 p.m. for an in-person watershed cleanup in First State National Historical Park’s Brandywine Valley unit.

Volunteers are needed to help protect the watershed by picking up trash and debris in and around the streams that feed into the Brandywine Creek in First State.

Adults, families and groups are welcome but advanced registration is required and will be limited to the first 50 people.

To begin the registration process, please send an email to the park's volunteer coordinator using “Volunteering at Fall Cleanup” in the subject line and providing the following information:
- Name(s) of participant(s)
- Age of participant(s)
- Contact information (email and phone number)

Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of The Pilot School in north Wilmington. Volunteers will be provided with plastic gloves and trash bags. Please dress for the weather and wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting dirty and wet. This event is held rain or shine.

For more information, visit the Stream Stewards Fall Watershed Clean-Up Facebook Event Page.
