Bicentennial Volunteers

Americorps Volunteers
There are a variety of ways to support the park's mission and help visitors find inspiration in Frederick Douglass's legacy.

Be part of a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! The Frederick Douglass National Historic Site will be hosting educational programming throughout the bicentennial year.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • greet visitors
  • assist with tours, activities, and parking
  • provide site and program information
  • perform cosmetic maintenance needs
  • work on special projects and event planning

We welcome volunteers of all ages. Youth under 18 may volunteer with written consent from a parent or guardian.
