Mysteries, Myths, & Mayhem Event at Fort Stanwix
On Saturday, October 28, Fort Stanwix National Monument will offer a special nighttime tour through the fort. This candlelit program, called Mysteries, Myths, & Mayhem, explores the more terrifying aspects of life for the soldiers and their families along the New York frontier.

Celebrate International Archeology Day
On Saturday, October7, Fort Stanwix National Monument will host the fourth Annual International Archeology Day celebration. Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., visitors will have the opportunity to dig into the world of archeology to learn more about the tools archeologists use, tour the museum collections, and see many artifacts uncovered at the site.

Cultural Showcase at Fort Stanwix
On Saturday, September 23, a Cultural Showcase will take place at Fort Stanwix National Monument. Throughout the event, artists, performers, and storytellers from various countries and backgrounds will share their culture with the public. This free event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. and is free to the public.

September Historic Anniversary Bicycle Tour
On Saturday, September 30, Fort Stanwix National Monument will offer a bicycle tour in honor of the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal and 240th anniversary of the Battle of Oriskany. This special tour will be approximately 12 miles round trip, beginning at Bellamy Harbor Park in Rome, NY at 10 a.m.

Park to Host Presentation on Treaties Signed at Historic Fort
On Friday, September 8, Dr. William J. Campbell will present the most recent findings on the treaties signed or negotiated at Fort Stanwix in the 18th century titled “Negotiating at the Oneida Carry: The Fort Stanwix Treaties and Early North America.”

American Revolution Weekend Returns to Fort Stanwix
Rome, NY – On Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, Fort Stanwix National Monument will host the annual American Revolution War Weekend. This year marks the 240th anniversary of the British siege of the fort, and visitors will have the opportunity to interact with living historians portraying the Continentals, American Loyalists, British, and Natives that took part in the siege.

Tourism to Fort Stanwix creates 6.4 million in Economic Benefits
A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 94,006 visitors to Fort Stanwix National Monument in 2016 spent $5.2 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 68 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $6.4 million.
