French & Indian War Weekend Returns to Fort Stanwix
On Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28, Fort Stanwix National Monument will host the annual French and Indian War Weekend. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history and activities of the British and French units encamped at the fort. Events will include military drills, weapons demonstrations, and daily fort life activities. Children will have the opportunity to play 18th Century games as well as try various other hands on activities.

Tourism to Fort Stanwix creates 6.4 million in Economic Benefits
A new National Park Service (NPS) report shows that 94,006 visitors to Fort Stanwix National Monument in 2016 spent $5.2 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 68 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $6.4 million.

Rome Historical Society & Fort Stanwix Reveal New Exhibit
Fort Stanwix National Monument and park partners at the Rome Historical Society have created a two-part exhibit entitled "From Memory to
Monument." The exhibit will be unveiled at the Fort Stanwix visitor center on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at 2 p.m., and continue at the RHS at 4 p.m. with a general reception.
