Be A Junior Ranger

Fort Scott has three different Junior Ranger booklets. One for preschool children (ages 3-5), one for younger elementary age children (ages 5-7) and one for older children (ages 8 and above).

Each of these books has many exciting stories to tell about Fort Scott. You can discover the answers both at the site and online. These junior ranger books not only connect you with the site's history but also give you opportunities to display your talents at art and hone up on your math skills.

Currently the buildings at the site are closed, but junior rangers can still download the books and use electronic resources to complete them. Our site movie can be viewed in segments by visiting the web page Dreams and Dilemmas . Answers to other questions in the booklet may be found by visiting our site's virtual resource center or using our Mobile App which can be accessed by downloading NPS Fort Scott to your Apple or Android device. Once completed you can get your junior ranger badge by submitting your booklet to a park ranger by e-mail or by mail (USPS) to:
