Trading Cards

Looking for a fun and educational way to learn about America's Civil War? Collect the National Park Service's Civil War to Civil Rights trading cards available, free, at Fort Pulaski National Monument and a select number of National Park Service sites in commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War.

In 2012, the National Park Service trading card series consists of more than 500 trading cards from nearly 90 national parks in 31 states and the District of Columbia. View all the cards on Flickr.

Separately these cards provide tools for visitors to appreciate new perspectives associated with individual parks and sites. Collectively they become the ties that bind us together as a nation of complexities and help us provide opportunities to explore the concepts of the Civil War, the fight for freedom, and the ongoing struggle to achieve equality for all people.

Fort Pulaski National Monument offers ten cards:

* Fort Pulaski - Protecting the Port City
* The Battle of Fort Pulaski - Controlling Savannah
* The Rifled Cannon - A New Way to Wage War
* General Quincy A. Gillmore - Testing His Mettle
* Colonel Charles H. Olmstead - An Honorable Surrender
* Women at Fort Pulaski
* Baseball at Fort Pulaski
* The First Proclamation of Emancipation
* Refuge from Slavery - Cockspur Island
* From Slave to Soldier

Cards can be earned by participating in programs, making good observations, or by asking or answering questions.
