Fort Larned's Labor Day Weekend celebration includes a Birthday party you won't want to miss! Kids of all ages are invited to celebrate the 99th Birthday of the National Park Service on Sunday, September 6.Birthday party times are at 1 p.m., featuring "The Tale of Two Towns" and 2 p.m., featuring "The Boy &the Bullfrog." Both programs will include old fashioned toys and games and a slice of birthday cake!The birthday celebrations will take place in the Visitor Center.

Along with the Park Service birthday celebration, Fort Larned will once again come to life with their Labor Day Weekend living history event.You'll be able to ride an old fashioned carriage, watch soldiers demonstrate rifle and artillery fire, see the blacksmith turn ordinary steel into everyday objects, and learn about life on Officers' Row.

The carriage rides, living history, special demonstrations and talks will be available on all three days.Come out and end your summer with a celebration of our nation's history.Here is the schedule of events for all three days.
