Tennessee—The National Park Service will host special events on
February 13 & 14, 2010. Civil War exhibitions and living history
encampments will highlight the anniversary events.
On February 13 & 14,
visitors can enjoy the living history camps of the 9th Kentucky Infantry (USA)
and 50th Tennessee (CSA).
camp will be opened on Saturday, , and Sunday, . The 50thTennessee camp will be open on Saturday only.
Historic Weapon Firings will be held in the afternoons. Times will be announced
on the day of the event.
Naval artifacts and other Civil
War memorabilia will be displayed at the visitor center on February 13 & 14.
Kraig Lawson of Cincinnati,
Ohio will return to the park once
again to share his unique collection of naval accoutrements and replica
ironclad gunboats. John Walsh, owner of Fort Donelson Relics, will also display
artifacts from the period. The exhibits will be opened to the public: Saturday, and Sunday.
