Reason for travel: vacation
Jane C. Folger, 73, a retired bank officer, was traveling on Flight 93 with her sister-in-law and friend, Patricia Cushing, for a long-anticipated site seeing trip to San Francisco. The two women lived just blocks from each other in Bayonne, New Jersey and often took day trips together. Strong and resilient, Folger raised six children, then lost a son in the Vietnam War and another son to AIDS. She experienced a painful divorce, but remained active and independent. As a lifelong resident of Bayonne, New Jersey, Jane knew and loved New York City, traveling there weekly and introducing her six grandchildren to her favorite stores, theaters, museums, and cultural events.
