				  <description>In October 2019, the National Park Service (NPS) began soliciting proposals to lease the historic McGlashan-Nickerson House located at Saint Croix Island International Historic Site. The lease would last for up to 60 years in exchange for preservation efforts to restore and maintain the house. In support of this effort, the Park Service is hosting an open house on August 6 to allow interested individuals the chance to walk through the entire building, upper and lower barn areas, and grounds. Period architectural features will be pointed out.
