This program contains interviews with Nate Stephenson, a research ecologist for the USGS Sequoia Field Station, in a sequoia forest and William Tweed, Park Naturalist Emeritus of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Also, a ranger records weather data from equipment in a louvered box along a trail. Historic photos document the forests. Researchers measure distances between tagged trees.
