Robinson House

Robinson House - Henson Robinson came to Springfield in 1858. A tinner by trade, in 1861 Robinson went into a partnership to sell stoves, furnaces, and tinware. During the Civil War he was awarded a contract to manufacture soldiers' mess plates and tin cups. This house was built sometime after the Lincoln's had left for the White House.
