Lincoln Neighborhood Tour
In 1860 the house was
occupied by the Illinois State
Auditor Jesse Dubois, his wife, and their five children. Dubois had served in the Illinois State
Legislature, held several positions with the State, and remained a strong Lincoln supporter
throughout his life.
