The Lincoln Depot

On Abraham Lincoln's birthday in 1956, the Depot served as a backdrop for a reenactment of Lincoln's farewell to Springfield. Dave Garroway's television show "Wide Wide World" featured the Lincoln sites in the Springfield area. No suitable railroad car could be found locally, so the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad provided a car of the period from Baltimore.
