Camera used by Oscar Jaeger on his 1927 expedition on the Colorado River. Oscar Jaegar (1887-1958) was born in Dubuque, Iowa. After briefly attending college in Washington D.C., he returned home to work at his fathers wholesale grocery. Due to health concerns he retired from his father’s business in 1927 and began traveling the Colorado River. In 1932, he self-published his adventures in The Great Grand Canyon Adventure: A Narrative of Rapid-Shooting on the Colorado, the World's Wildest River.
