Black and white photo from the late 1870s of a small wooden shack with thirteen men of various races standing next to it. The picture is taken from the side with part of one end showing. No door or window is visible; the roof is gabled with no shingles. There is a small tree growing right next to the end of the structure and the hillside is bare.
