Members of the Volunteer Bike Patrol work with the park along McDade Trail and specially designated areas. Patrol members assist Park Rangers by providing information, offering basic first aid, alerting park staff to potential problems and hazards along the trail, and relaying visitor concerns to park staff.
Patrol members must provide their own bike and helmet; the park provides patrol members with a shirt identifying them as members of the patrol.
Bike Patrol members must have good communication skills and be willing to provide first aid to visitors. The park will provide training on park information, First Aid/EMS, radio communications, and bike maintenance.
Interested bikers should contact the park's volunteer coordinator
