Brecksville, Ohio - Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) announces the following hours for park visitor centers for the months of December, January, and February.
Boston Store Visitor Center is located at 1548 Boston Mills Road, east of Riverview Road, Peninsula 44264. Exhibits tell the story of canal boat building in the valley. Daily, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Canal Visitor Center is located at 7104 Canal Road, at the intersection of Canal and Hillside Roads, Valley View 44125. Exhibits focus on life along the canal and human history in the valley. Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Hunt Farm Visitor Information Center is closed for the winter.Peninsula Depot Visitor Center is located at 1630 Mill Street, Peninsula 44264. This information and orientation facility was developed to help visitors explore CVNP, Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, the Village of Peninsula, and the Ohio & Erie Canalway. Saturdays and Sundays, December 4 to 12 and January 8 to February 27, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. This visitor center is closed December 13 throughJanuary 7.
Winter Sports Center, within Kendall Lake Shelter, is located at 1000 Truxell/Kendall Lake roads, two miles west of Akron Cleveland Road, Peninsula 44264. This facility offers rental of winter equipment, as well as ski and snowshoe instruction. The center will be open on the following dates when there are at least four inches of snow. It may be open additional days during heavy snowfall. Saturdays and Sundays, December 4 through 19; daily December 26 through 31; Saturdays and Sundays, January 2 through February 27; and the holidays of January 17 (Martin Luther King Day) and February 21 (Presidents’ Day), 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Call (800) 257-9477 to confirm snowfall.
CVNP encompasses 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron. Managed by the National Park Service, CVNP combines cultural, historical, recreational, and natural activities in one setting.
