Brecksville, Ohio – Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) is holding its annual Adopt-a-Trail Training Workshop from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, at the Ledges Shelter, in celebration of National Trails Day. The workshop will teach the proper way to prune branches, clean out ditches and culverts, and report problems. Ledges Shelter is located on Truxell/ Kendall Park Road, 1 mile west of Akron Cleveland Road, Peninsula 44264.
One hour of classroom training will be followed by trail sweeps of the Ledges, Pine Grove, Haskell Run, and Forest Point trails; and a simultaneous Cuyahoga Valley Trails Council trail work session on the Haskell Run and Ledges trails. A light continental breakfast is provided for workshop attendees. Volunteers will also receive a ticket voucher for two (2) Upper Box or two (2) Mezzanine tickets to a 2011 Cleveland Indians game, courtesy of Business Volunteers Unlimited and the Cleveland Indians.
