National Park Reopens All Sections of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail

Brecksville, Ohio – The National Park Service has reopened all sections of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in Cuyahoga Valley National Park that were recently closed due to flooding. The Towpath Trail including associated parking lots from Lock 39 Trailhead in Independence to Botzum Trailhead in Akron are now open.

CVNP encompasses 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Managed by the National Park Service, CVNP combines cultural, historical, recreational, and natural activities in one setting.
