Peninsula, Ohio – On Sunday, January 22, the soulful voice of Laurie Michelle Caner will fill the historic Hines Hill Conference Center in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP). The concert is presented by the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the National Park Service.
Caner is a singer, songwriter, and banjo player whose music speaks to the truth of the human condition: beauty, heartbreak, disappointment, and joy. She’s the lead singer of Hey Mavis, a local band born from CVNP’s artist-in-residence program in 2009. Caner, who home schools her children, has been hailed as a role model for women who strive to nurture their artistic pursuits as well as a healthy family. She will be joined on stage by two other musicians.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. The show will conclude around 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $10 for the general public and $8 for Conservancy members. Seating is limited. This historic facility is not wheelchair accessible.
Buy tickets at forcvnp.org/concerts or by calling 330-657-2909, option 4.
