Brecksville, Ohio - Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) announces the delay of the opening of the Art @ M. D. Garage art exhibit due to a facility related issue. The exhibit will open to the public on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
Art @ M.D. Garage is a series of free art exhibitions coordinated by the Crooked River Gang, a volunteer group of regional artists. The National Park Service (NPS) works cooperatively with the Crooked River Gang to promote artistic creation and exhibition in CVNP.
M.D. Garage was once a hub of activity in the historic village of Boston along the Ohio & Erie Canal. Closed in the 1980s, the 1946 Pure Oil Station was purchased by NPS and restored in the late 1990s. The facility offers a unique open space for art exhibits and special events.
Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free admission. Most artwork is available for purchase. M.D. Garage is located at 1556 West Boston Mills Road, next to the Boston Store Visitor Center, Peninsula 44264.
CVNP encompasses 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Managed by the National Park Service, CVNP combines cultural, historical, recreational, and natural activities in one setting.
