Cuyahoga Valley National Park announces ranger-led activities for winter 2021 and spring 2022

BRECKSVILLE, Ohio – Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP) invites the public to register for outdoor ranger-guided activities throughout the upcoming winter and spring seasons.   • Sunday Strolls: Explore the park at a leisurely pace. Sundays, once a month at 10 am and 2 pm.
  • Healthful Hikes: Get your heart pumping on hikes of 6-8 miles. Sundays, twice a month starting at 9 am.
  • Bird Walks: Build your birding skills on leisurely-paced walks. various trails. Select Saturday mornings.
  • Saturday Adventures: Explore the wonder natural ecosystems. Saturday mornings, twice monthly.
  • Lantern Walks: Take a 2-4 mile hike by lantern light, and enjoy hot chocolate around the campfire. Fridays, once a month in winter.
  • Full Moon Walks: Explore the park by the light of the moon on or near the night of the full moon each month.
  • Hidden History Walks: A ranger will uncover stories that are often hidden in plain sight. Sundays, once a month, 10-11:30 am.
  • Recreate Like a Ranger (Virtual): Log on for a 30-minute program to chat with a ranger about all things recreation and how to be prepared for any park adventure. Select Thursdays, 6:30-7 pm.

Park visitors are encouraged to pick up a copy of The Valley Guide newspaper at Boston Mill Visitor Center for seasonal information and other things to do in CVNP. The visitor center (6947 Riverview Rd. Peninsula, OH 44264) is open daily 9:30 am – 5 pm (closed Christmas and New Year’s Day).

CVNP encompasses 33,000 acres along the Cuyahoga River between Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Managed by the National Park Service, CVNP combines cultural, historical, recreational, and natural resources in one setting.
