Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Peninsula, Ohio (Thursday, April 19, 2012) - The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park will host Pancakes in the Park, an event exclusively featuring locally-sourced products on Mother's Day. Pancakes in the Park will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 13 at the historic Stanford House, located in Cuyahoga Valley National Park (CVNP). Patrons will also have the opportunity to take hikes lead by volunteer naturalists on the Stanford Trail, and tour the recently renovated Stanford House. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children age 12 and under.
Patrons are asked to park at the Boston Mills Ski Resort (7100 River View Road, Peninsula 44264) and will be shuttled to the Stanford House.
"We are happy to offer an affordable event for people to get out and enjoy Cuyahoga Valley National Park," Conservancy CEO Deb Yandala said. "It also gives us an opportunity to display the Stanford House so people can see the overnight accommodations we offer in the heart of CVNP."
The Stanford House is a classical Greek revival built during the 1830s. It recently underwent major renovations and was re-opened to the public in May of 2011. It accommodates up to 31 people in nine private rooms and is available for whole house or individual room rentals.
