Low Bridge, Everybody Down

Learn about the history and importance of the Ohio & Erie Canal while helping to operate a working canal lock and hiking on the Towpath Trail. Recommended for grade 4.

Rockin' at the Run

Hike along Haskell Run to the Ledges looking for evidence of how geologic forces have shaped the landscape and what environments formed the rock layers. Recommended for grades 4 - 8.

Ways of the Whittlesey

Discover the culture of these and other American Indians who once inhabited this region. Practice your hunting skills, grind corn and listen to American Indian stories. Recommended for grades 3 - 5.

Programs for Young Audiences:

Nobody Likes Me

Unpopular animal characters bemoan their unfair reputation with children. Learn the positive traits of bees, bats, earthworms and spiders through science, craft and music. Recommended for Pre-K - Kindergarten.

Really Big Rocks

Step into a wondrous place of huge rocks, evergreens and moss. A hike below the Ledges is always special. How were these rocks made? Do they change? Recommended for Pre-K - Grade 1.

Program Fees

Single programs are $6 per student.
The Conservancy offers a limited number of scholarships for day programs.
