A Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) from Glen Canyon National Recreation Area was used to find moss growing on the bottom of Crater Lake.

A U.S. Geological Survey camera sled, that was towed behind the research boat Neuston, provided video and photographic evidence of the moss communities in Crater Lake.
