Add/Edit Search Engine Account

This dialog displays when you click the Add Search Engine Account link or the edit icon for a supported search engine in the Search Engine Accounts dialog. Use this dialog to view, enter, or edit properties for the search engine account. At least one search engine account is required in order for CommonSpot to retrieve SERP (Search Engine Results Page) rankings.

Parameter values entered or displayed here are generated by each service. See the overview of Search Engine Configuration and instructions on Integrating Google and Bing in the Paperthin Knowledgebase article "Creating SEO API Keys" on the Support site (requires login).

Complete the following fields:

Reporting Group: Read Only. The SEO Reporting Group that this search engine account will be used for.
Search Engine: Pick from the dropdown. This release supports Google and Bing:
Name: The CommonSpot name for this account.
Description: Optionally describe this account.
Maximum Queries Per Day: Use this field to set the number of queries CommonSpot will make per day using this API account. This should be set to a value less than or equal to the maximum allowed per day by your search engine account. For example, for a free-tier Google account, the limit is 100 unique queries per day. You can purchase a higher number of queries per day if desired.
Parameters: The fields in this section are search engine-specific.
Google - For this section, see the Paperthin Knowledgebase article "Creating SEO API Keys" on the Support site (requires login).
- Search Engine ID: Enter the unique ID of the account.
- API Key: Enter the unique Google API key.
Bing:
- Account Key: Enter the unique Bing Account Key.

Click Cancel to exit without saving, or click Save to keep your settings and update registration status. See "Creating API Keys" in the PaperThin Support knowledgebase (requires login).
