Each April, during the presidentially proclaimed National Park Week, we celebrate America's treasures. National Park Week is a time to explore amazing places, discover stories of history and culture, help out, and find your park.

For 2020, we have compiled fun activities and websites to visit from the comforts of home to explore Colorado National Monument and many other National Park Service sites accross the nation.

 

Junior Ranger Day Activities

• 2020 Junior Ranger Day Activity Sheet - Explore Colorado National Monument and the surrounding landscape using Google Earth.
• Photo Scavenger Hunt Bingo - In your yard or on a walk in your neighborhood find these items, take photos and create your own nature photo album.
• Nature Color Hunt - What colors can you find in nature? Use this sheet to track what you find. List, describe, draw, create a song, take photos or however else you would like to record what you see. You could also collect samples of leaves, petals, pebbles, etc and glue them to the activity sheet.

• Check out National Park Week Theme Days (some may not be applicable to all sites)
• Test your knowledge or learn a little more about parks with a series of games and challenges.
• Do you have a special interest? Maybe there is a Junior Ranger Activity Book to explore that interest.
