Little Rock Central High School 60th Anniversary

On September 25th, 1957, The Little Rock Nine under escort of Federal Troops finished their first full day of classes, after two unsuccessful attempts to enter Little Rock Central High School. Celebrated as the Desegregation of Little Rock Central High School, The National Park Service has a series of events planned to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the desegregtion of Central High School. We are partnering with the University of Central Arkansas, the Oxford American, and Open Road Films to bring the public a series of events to honor the Little Rock Nine. See below to find out what Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site and our partners have planned for the 60th Anniversary.
