Explore history, nature and natural spring water! The Chickasaw National Recreation Area Junior Ranger program is designed for kids of all ages. Through activities, games, and puzzles, kids can have fun as they learn about the park. Activities include attending a ranger-led program, hiking on a park trail, and completing activity pages that encourage direct experience and discovery learning in diverse park environments. Both children and adults benefit by sharing the fun of becoming a Junior Ranger at Chickasaw National Recreation Area or other parks.

How does it work?
While visiting Chickasaw National Recreation Area, pick up a Junior Ranger Activity Booklet at the Travertine Nature Center. Complete the appropriate activities for your age group (listed inside) and return the booklet to a ranger at the nature center. When your booklet is complete you will be sworn in as a Junior Ranger and receive your Chickasaw Junior Ranger badge!

If you would like a Junior Ranger booklet ahead of your visit, please contact us and provide your mailing address.
