A Spa in the Dust Bowl: 1930-1940
The Great Depression brought great opportunity to Platt National Park through the work of the Civilian Conservation Corps. From 1933 through 1940, Company 808 worked in the park, completing projects that reshaped Platt National Park from boundary to boundary.
Despite economic hardship, visitors were still drawn to the park, providing as always a place where you could take your mind off your troubles.
