Learn more about the natural and cultural resources at Canyonlands National Park. Join a ranger for a talk, hike, or evening program.

All program schedules are subject to change. Schedules and times vary, so please check locally at visitor centers and campground bulletin boards for current listings.

 

Island in the Sky

Rangers offer programs daily spring through fall. Check at the visitor center for schedules and details. Additional programs may be posted on the park calendar.

Geology Talk
20 minutes; Grand View Point
Free; all ages welcome. No advance reservation.
Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat.

Patio Talk

30 minutes; Green River Overlook

Bring a flashlight and consider bringing a camp chair for comfort.

Full Moon Hikes/Stargazing
Hikes up to 1 hour on/around full moon evenings.
Astronomy events on/near new moon evenings.

The Needles

The Maze

Rangers at The Maze lead guided hikes in Horseshoe Canyon most Saturdays in April, May, September, and October. Check the park calendar for more details.
