Flyer for Conservation+Comics

Art is a powerful vector that can transcend barriers – it can help scientists meet people where they are and tell relatable and impacting stories that move minds. With the Conservation + Comics program, we provide a distinct experience for youth in the greater San Diego area. In our two-part program, students will first be guided through a thematic nature exploration of the park, then our art education partners will lead the students in an innovative way to tell scientific stories – through comics and other modern modalities. With the Conservation + Comics platform, our hope is to provide students with an opportunity for exploration and deeper dialogue into science and nature.

Reservations will open for virtual science program field trips beginning September 1st!

During this period of online learning, we have adapted 3 science education programs for an online platform – Science Sampler, Conservation + Comics, and Climate Kids: Ocean Acidification. For more information and to register, click on the lessons below. The rest of our program offerings are being modified for an online platform and will be available soon – check back for more information.

Due to health and safety concerns over COVID-19 we regret to inform you that there are no in-person field trips offered at this time. This is a rapidly changing environment, and we will keep this website updated to reflect current guidelines.
