Flyer for Conservation+Comics

Art is a powerful vector that can transcend barriers – it can help scientists meet people where they are and tell relatable and impacting stories that move minds. With the Conservation + Comics program, we provide a distinct experience for youth in the greater San Diego area. In our two-part program, students will first be guided through a thematic nature exploration of the park, then our art education partners will lead the students in an innovative way to tell scientific stories – through comics and other modern modalities. With the Conservation + Comics platform, our hope is to provide students with an opportunity for exploration and deeper dialogue into science and nature.
