Passing by Powell Point of the Aquarius Plateau she had a beautiful view of Bryce Canyon National Park and also Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. She found the thermal updrafts over the hot dry landscape easy to ride.
After a long vacation in the heat of the southwest she made her way to the northwest and spent some time in the wide U-shaped valleys of North Cascades National Park.
