The Big Cypress National Preserve Nathaniel P Reed Visitor Center offers the public a multitude of opportunities to experience your public lands.


The facility was designed with energy conservation in mind, making maximum use of renewable resources. Learn more about how the visitor center thinks green.

Exhibits
The visitor center offers indoor and outdoor exhibits related to the natural and cultural history of the Big Cypress Swamp, printed information and a preserve film that shares the stories of the swamp, its resources, and its myriad recreational opportunities.

The center is approximately five miles east of State Road 29 on the Tamiami Trail.

Open daily, 9:00-4:30 pm. The visitor center is closed December 25.
