Join Park Archeologist Cindy Norum for a guided tour through the winter home of generations of American Indians. Participants should meet at the Cal S. Taggart Visitor Center in Lovell, Wyoming where they will follow Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area park rangers to the Two Eagles Site via their personal vehicles at 10:00 a.m.,
This tour will provide insight on the Two Eagle Site, a place that was used as a winter home by hundreds of American Indians for generations. Park Archeologist Cindy Norum will introduce visitors to Native life in Bighorn Canyon, including archeological interpretation of stone features and ongoing collaborative efforts between tribal members and the National Park Service.
The guided tour is limited to 20 people. To secure a spot on this tour please call the Cal S. Taggart Visitor Center to be placed on a roster at 307-548-5406. Please come prepared to walk in the outdoors and in various weather conditions. Please wear sturdy shoes and long pants. Water and sunscreen are also recommended by park staff. This is a short walk on generally flat terrain and is considered an easy hike.
