BADLANDS NATIONAL PARK, S.D. — Three new park films are now available for purchase on one DVD entitled Badlands Suite. Badlands Natural History Association (BNHA) is a not-for-profit cooperating association that donates all profits from sales to park interpretation, education, and scientific research. These three films take you on a journey into the White River Badlands of South Dakota. Become acquainted with the people of this place - American Indians, ranchers, scientists, explorers, and naturalists - and witness how millions of years of natural processes have carved canyons and exposed innumerable signs of past wildlife. The White River Badlands contain one of the richest mammal fossil beds in the world. Spectacular scenery, up close wildlife, and historic footage all make this a wonderful film presentation to either remember your trip to the Badlands or to prepare for your own upcoming Badlands adventure.
The DVD includes the twenty minute park introductory film, Land of Stone and Light. A second video presentation, From Field to Lab, explores the exciting work of paleontologists in the Badlands. A third film, Multiple Perspectives, contains personal interviews with many people who have called this place home.
The price of the DVD is $20.99 with tax plus additional charges for orders to be shipped. To place an order, contact: Midge Johnston, Badlands Natural History Association, P.O. Box 47, Interior, SD 57750. Phone (605) 433-5489.
