Weather Situations for the Employee Emergency Telephone Line

Situation 1: Default (normal conditions)

Park offices are open. Employees should report to work on their normal schedules.

Situation 2: Liberal Leave

Park offices and public buildings are open but a liberal leave policy is in effect for (day and date). Non-emergency employees may take annual leave without the normal requirement for advance notification and approval by their supervisor, provided they have sufficient number of hours in their leave balance. Employees who elect to take annual leave should make an effort to inform their supervisor by their normal starting time and must submit leave slips upon their return to work. Emergency personnel should report to work as scheduled. If you are unsure whether or not you are required for emergency services, contact your supervisor immediately. Employees that are prepared to and/or scheduled to telework will be required to work their full shift or take annual/credit leave. You must have a telework agreement in place to telework.

Situation 3: Delayed Opening

The opening of park offices and public buildings will be delayed (#) hours. Non-emergency personnel are granted administrative leave for the period offices are closed if they are scheduled to work. Emergency personnel should report to work as scheduled. If you are unsure whether or not you are required for emergency services, contact your supervisor immediately. Employees that are prepared to and/or scheduled to telework will not be granted administrative leave and will be required to work their full shift or take annual/credit leave. You must have a telework agreement in place to telework.

Situation 4: Delayed Opening and Liberal Leave

The opening of park offices and public buildings will be delayed (#) hours but a liberal leave policy is in effect. Non-emergency personnel are granted administrative leave for the period offices are closed if they are scheduled to work. Emergency personnel should report to work as scheduled. If you are unsure whether or not you are required for emergency services, contact your supervisor immediately. Employees that are prepared to and/or scheduled to telework will not be granted administrative leave and will be required to work their full shift or take annual/credit leave. You must have a telework agreement in place to telework. Non-emergency employees may take annual leave without the normal requirement for advance notification and approval by their supervisor, provided they have sufficient number of hours in their leave balance. Employees who elect to take annual leave should make an effort to inform their supervisor by their normal starting time and must submit leave slips upon their return to work. If an employee chooses to exercise the liberal leave policy, he/she will be charged for leave for the entire work shift and will NOT receive any hours of administrative leave. Employees must report to work to receive administrative leave.

Park offices and public buildings will be closed on (day and date). Non-emergency personnel that were scheduled to work will be granted administrative leave. Emergency personnel should report to work as scheduled. If you are unsure whether or not you are required for emergency services, contact your supervisor immediately. Employees that are scheduled to telework will not be granted administrative leave and will be required to work their full shift or take annual/credit leave. You must have an approved telework agreement in place to telework.
