Be A Junior Ranger

Jr. Ranger Badge and Program

NPS image

Appomattox Court House National Historical Park's Junior Ranger Program makes your family's visit to the park a special adventure where children learn to care for our National Parks while having fun with puzzles, games and trivia challenges.

Designed for children ages 6 to 13, the program typically takes one to two hours to complete. Just pick up a Junior Ranger workbook upon your arrival at our visitor center. As you tour the park and museum, complete the questions in the book to receive a certificate and a Junior Ranger Badge. The Junior Ranger booklet is also available to be viewed before you get to the park.

For the individuals who are not able to come to the park, an Appomattox Junior Ranger Badge can be earned by viewing our web page. To get started click here.

Note: During the park's COVID-19 related closure, the park may be unable to mail badges to new Junior Rangers whose booklets we received by mail or email until all employees return to work at the park. We appreciate your patience.
