This summer a new youth engagement program rocked to life within the greater Washington, DC area that brought together NPS staff and over 150 youth working this summer in our local national parks. The two day campout event was a new exciting step of many that the 14 national parks around the nation's capital are taking to reach out and share parks in ways to be more accessible and relevant with youth.
