Anacostia Park Centennial

Anacostia Centennial

Celebrate 100 years of Anacostia Park!
On August 31, 1918 Congress passed legislation to preserve specific land along the Anacostia River as Anacostia Park. 100 years later, Anacostia Park is a vibrant urban park that offers inspirational learning, recreational fun, and community unity in the heart of D.C. Join the National Park Service as we honor the history and celebrate the natural and cultural resources of Anacostia Park throughout its 100th year.
