National Park Week starts April 21 and ends on April 29. The theme for this week is Park Stars, celebrating everything from starry skies to superstar volunteers, park features and resources. Agate Fossil Beds National Monument will offer games and crafts as well as the Junior Ranger Activity Guides on Junior Ranger Day, April 21. Every day during the week the Agate Rangers will offer short talks at the diorama, winter count, and about the resources at the park.
April 21 is a Fee Free Day at all parks that charge a fee, and it is National Junior Ranger Day and Volunteer Day, as well. April 22 is Earth Day when the public can get out and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Trails System and the Wild & Scenic Rivers System. April 28th is Military & Veteran Recognition Day and April 29th is National Park Rx Day. Agate Fossil Beds National Monument will be hosting its Park Rx Day on May 12th.
